Intent

We will support children to become problem solutionists to a wide range of design and technology challenges, giving them skills and knowledge for their future. Through a broad and wide-reaching curriculum, which builds on their prior learning, designers are given the opportunity to partake in the creation of real-life products where they have to consider the user, product purpose, function, and make design decisions through being innovative.

All children are given the opportunity to take part in projects by being provided equipment and a variety of different materials to use to help them in their design decisions. Along with appropriate equipment, children are provided with a range of resources to support their learning and development.
