Intent

Key Stage 2 children at Wellington will be inquisitive and have a deeper understanding of the world, having expanded their knowledge of other cultures through the language of Spanish speaking countries. They will be able to communicate practically in Spanish and be ready and curious for other language opportunities in Secondary School.

All Key Stage 2 Wellington pupils will have had opportunities to regularly hear and speak Spanish, through the teaching of key vocabulary and the provision of contextualised events and experiences in which children can communicate for practical purposes.
